About
Twenty years of reading donor files, rebuilt as software.
We have spent over 20 years reading donor files across hundreds of non-profits, ministries, churches, and other organizations, applying the discipline a fund brings to a portfolio. Donor Insights is that work, rebuilt as a platform.
The work
For more than twenty years we have read donor files for hundreds of non-profits, ministries, churches, and other organizations, from small development teams to national causes. That work built a close understanding of how a file behaves over time: how donors are won, why they stay, and what quietly pulls a base apart when no one is watching the right numbers.
The approach
We read a donor file the way a fund reads a portfolio. Survival analysis for how long donors stay, lifetime value by giving tier, concentration for how much revenue rides on a few names. The methods are stated openly and every number traces back to the gift that produced it.
The platform
The analysis a senior strategist once delivered by hand is being rebuilt as software, so a development team of one or a board of thirty gets the same read on the file. The goal is not to replace the judgment of the people who know their donors. It is to give that judgment better numbers to work with, faster.
What we hold to
Provable over polished
Every claim in a review has a method behind it and a source under it. Trust is earned by showing the work.
Restraint over noise
One accent, tabular numbers, no manufactured urgency. The numbers carry the message.
The file is a trust
A donor file represents years of generosity. We treat it as something to protect, not a dataset to mine.
